What are Mechanical Mods?

Mechanical mods are essentially batteries. They consist of a tube shell that is made out of durable metals. You put batteries into these shells, and thus you get a mechanical mod!

Unlike regular batteries, mechanical mods don’t have circuitry, wires, or lights. So they are next to impossible to break as there are no electronics to worry about. The problem with mechanical mods are that there are no built in safety features, so please be careful when storing and using your mod!

Mechanical mods work by using a button (usually on the bottom) that pushes the battery up to the firing pin. These mods have a button lock function by twisting the bottom.

Mechanical mods have the potential to produce more vapor than a hookah!

I noticed the word ‘Clone’ in the mod title, what is that?

Clones are replicas (or knockoffs) of the original mod. We sell clones because they are much cheaper than the real mod. If you don’t have $300 to spend on a set up, we offer our clones for a fraction of that price! Although there can be a difference in vapor production, our mods still perform well for way less.

Are Mechanical mods for me?

If you are new to vaping we don’t recommend getting a mechanical mod. They are more expensive, heavier, bigger, and usually need a more complicated tank to get the full use from a Mechanical mod.

If you are looking to elevate your vape experience to the next level, and don’t mind getting a little dirty, then Mechanical mods are for you!

What kind of batteries do these mods require?

Mechanical mods require a special type of lithium battery that is widely available. Our mods can use 18650, 18350, or 26650 batteries. These batteries do require a separate type of charger available here.

For reference, 18350 batteries are the shortest and have the least capacity. They are 35mm long and have a 18mm diameter (Thus, 18350!). Although you may find that 2 18350 batteries fit in a mod, please do not do this! Double stacking your battery doubles your voltage and will kill your coils!

18650 batteries are 65mm long and have a 18mm diameter.

26650 batteries are 650mm long and have a 26mm diameter. Our only mod that takes this battery is the Hades Mod.

It is recommended that once you notice a drop in vapor production that you recharge your battery. Letting these batteries run out of power will negatively affect their performance in the future. Because these batteries are removable and replaceable we recommend getting at least 2 batteries so you will always have power!

We carry 18350 (coming soon!), 18650, and 26650 (coming soon, but send us an email if you need one now, we have some in stock!) batteries and guarantee them to work with our mods. If you wish to purchase your battery from somewhere else make sure that the output is 3.7 Volts.

What tanks are recommended with mechanical mods?

We recommend Rebuildable Atomizers (RBA) and Rebuildable Dripper Atomizers (RDA) for use with mechanical mods. These do require either your own installation of coils and wicks or you can take it to a vape store for installation. Using an RBA or an RDA with your mod will give you huge clouds! You can read more about RBAs and RDAs here.
